Professional Services team member aligned with Diebold Nixdorf’s Fuel and Convenience (FCI) North American Practice.  Conduct 2nd Level Plus support, hyper care for FCI product and projects, specialized in NAMOS compact, SCO and SQL Database. Provide Support in customer meetings, customer calls, in deep code analysis of NAMOS compact product, define functional requirements, train 3rd party technicians, designing and driving training program for Diebold Nixdorf partners for Diebold Nixdorf’s Fuel and Convenience Store (FCI) software solutions. This role is US based and focused on delivering solutions to the US FCI market.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and 2nd Level Plus Support for Diebold Nixdorf’s partner and customers
  • Provide solution functionality and capability reports to the Sales Directors and solutions teams
  • Perform solutions demonstrations/presentations at customer and trade show venues
  • Provide support in customer meetings, customer calls, in depth code analysis of NAMOS compact product
  • Design and drive training program for Diebold Nixdorf partners for Diebold Nixdorf’s Fuel and Convenience Store (FCI) software solutions
  • Define functional requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in the activities required with regard to: Customer lab setup, Conference room pilot engagements, Proof of concept pilots, Training Program, Hyper care, and Code Review
  • Work with Business Analysts and FCI team to assist in creating architecture and design documentation and effort estimates from functional and non-functional requirements
  • Mentor and support junior Software System Engineers, Business Analysts and QA as part of the SLDC
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness and a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in  Computer Science, Computer Software/Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent related work experience and at least 
  • 5 years of experience developing, supporting, training implementing Retail Software solutions preferably in the NAMOS compact Fuel and Convenience segment
  • 5 years of experience in technology consulting 
  • The ultimate candidate will have a solid track record in relationship building, consulting, and customer service
  • Solid understanding of the Business dynamics/drivers in US FCI market (key vendors, standards, customers, channels.)
  • Extensive knowledge of both International and US domestic Fuel Service stations including forecourt controllers and payment methodologies/equipment
  • Knowledge of store systems, processes and applications
  • Knowledge of NAMOS compact processes and applications
  • In depth understanding of NAMOS compact Database and Software Architecture
  • Working knowledge of standard retail Point of Sale interfaces including JAVA POS and OPEN POS
  • Thorough understanding and experience with both functional and non-functional retail processes and procedures including transaction workflow, security, payment authorization, forecourt integration and back office processing
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills including formal presentations
  • Extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts related to software architecture and development 
  • Working technical knowledge of operating systems, internet, and intranet technologies  
  • Knowledge of databases, web interfaces, and coding
  • Expertise in writing detailed documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations
  • Preferable experience in working within large multinational companies with offshore development centers
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Experience working in cross-functional/international project teams
