In the role of Systems Administrator for Diebold Nixdorf you will perform advanced operational support and administration on Windows and UNIX platforms, applications, and services in support of IT systems around the globe. In addition, you will provide system installation support and perform advanced troubleshooting on Diebold Nixdorf computer systems and assist principle architects and senior staff members in the day-to-day operation of the department and participating in process improvement initiatives. The position requires highly technical skills, and the ability to multi-task in an evolving and fast paced IT environment.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.


  • Interacting with Diebold Nixdorf associates, customers and suppliers to meet service levels
  • Collaborating with regional IT associates located in other geographical locations
  • Facilitating the timely distribution of departmental information, process and procedures
  • Must be able to take direction from senior staff with minimal oversight
  • Mentoring, coaching and training other team members, sharing and utilizing best practices
  • Solve complex system problems quickly and with expertise, leveraging the vendor as the next higher level of support
  • Develops and documents system standards and workflows for end-user computer devices
  • Participate in the design and management of enterprise desktop and laptop systems
  • Assist with yearly evidence gathering for internal and external PCI, SOX and other audits
  • Assist with client patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Assist with the research, customization, packaging, quality assurance, deployments, testing and maintenance of end-user technology
  • Assist in completion of special projects on as needed basis
  • Assist with provisioning exchange mailboxes, distribution lists and other objects


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related study and 2+ years of applicable work experience; or 4+ years of applicable work experience

  • Industry-recognized certifications are desired

  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory including but not limited to AD attributes, memberships, Organization Units (OU’s), policies and rules

  • Knowledge of Data Flow rule sets and policies

  • Basic understanding of Windows scripting such as powershell, wscript, wmi and vb.net

  • Basic understanding of servers, applications and change control procedures

  • Knowledge of PC hardware, software installation, imaging and configuration

  • Knowledge of managing enterprise applications

  • Experience with McAfee Antivirus or similar security products preferred

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills a must

  • Ability to follow a logical progression of troubleshooting steps when diagnosing hardware and software issues

  • Experience with a wide range of operating systems and hardware platforms

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to manage time, prioritize assignments, and work collaboratively with other staff as necessary

  • Experience with utilizing Microsoft SCCM for automated software distribution
